Molly Thompson M.S. CCC-SLP is a sole proprietor and is fortunate to share an office with a collaborative group of dedicated therapists in speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy.
She received her Bachelor's degree in 1983 from the University of Iowa and Master's Degree in 1985 from Minot State University. She received the honor of becoming an ASHA Fellow in 2015. She has extensive training in language and learning disabilities, language processing and speech/articulation disorders. She enjoys the challenge of children needing help with profound speech disorders for any number of reasons, or reasons unknown (example, apraxia, cerebral palsy) and less complex, but still challenging, s,r and l. She has spent extra study and training in the learning and language of children with Down syndrome.
Molly has participated in extensive continuing education over the years and has many tips and tricks in her therapy toolkit. She rarely does specific programs with her clients, believing that programs are more difficult to individualize to the child. That said, she is certified in LSVT LOUD ©, a program she has found successful with children with dysarthria resulting from cerebral palsy or Down syndrome. She has published articles and presents on speech disorders, learning differences and language disabilities and the unique language treatment of children with Down syndrome.
Molly is a sole proprietor that has the wonderful opportunity of working in a collaborative group.
